I am creating this blog to allow us to share our adoption journey.This will be a story of God working through an ordinary family to give an orphaned child in Europe a loving home.
For those that don't know us, Doug and I have been married for 31years, we are 50 yrs old, have 4 children, 1 grandchild and live in rural southern Ohio.
Doug and I have a heart for children and a burden for orphaned children, esp those with disabilities. Adopting a child from an orphanage has been a desire for many years, but recently the Lord made our hearts so burdened about it that we knew it wasnt an option, no matter how frightening the process and the money needed seemed.
My favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
SO......God's got this. He doesnt necessarily call the equpped but He equips the called.
We are relying on His strength and we will give Him all the glory.
